John Wiley Reed was the second American born son of Samuel and Mary Clark Reed. Samuel and Mary Clark came to South Carolina just after the American Revolution from what I believe to be Ireland. They lived in Blackville, Barnwell, South Carolina area. My lineage is from Samuel Reed to his son John then John's son, John Wiley then to George Byron then to Charlie Wiley then Charles William and to me Thompson (Tom) William Reed 1943-present.
